I wish I didn't change providers! Ive had my phone not even 2 weeks and its telling me my data is nearly done! How when I use wifi 70% of the time plus i did as instructed by o2 and switched off my data when I get home. This is ludicrous. I may end up giving back the phone and cancelling the contract as im still within my 14 days.

A lot of people dont realise just how much data youtube does use. The other user is correct there is a section on the phone. Menu - Settings - Under Wireless and Networks tap on Data Usage, might be in a menu labelled More - then at the bottom of the page it will explain exactly what you have used your mobile data on. Also using the options at the top you can restrict it or get the phone to warn you when you are near the limit and also when it resets (in o2's case on the generation of your bill date). But no a lot of places wont explain that youtube does use a lot of data allowance, but when you are at home if you keep wifi turned on you wont have to keep turning off data when you get home as wifi will over-ride the data connection.

slight_smile Hope this helps. Sorry not meaning to come across if seems like im talking down to you.

It's not a bug though - it's designed that way.

You can, of course, choose to turn your wifi off when you lock the screen on android, but why anyone would want to do so I've no idea!
