Am I the only one that finds it bad that mobile networks still charge the standard network charge for charity appeals? They should waiver the network rate charge when the number being called/messaged is associated with a national charity appeal such as Children In Need, Comic Relief etc.

Quite right they should. I didn't realise they did so thanks for pointing that out.
The controlling bodies need to look at this and get the networks to waive the charges.

It's pretty poor that we do our best for charity yet networks reap their own rewards!!

Most of the numbers you text are premium rate and do not come out of your allowance, they are charged extra
