Hi peeps, I'm moving to Romania for 6 months and wondered if anyone has any advice or tips as to getting the best from O2. I'm in the middle of the 24 month contract on the Sony X1.

Cheers slight_smile

Best bet is to use TuGo on wifi. That way you use your minutes and texts. Currently doing this in Thailand for 3 months.

apart from either paying yoru bill each month or paying the early cancelation fee not a lot o2 can do for you you are tied to your contract period all you could do to reduce costs is remove any boltyons an insurance.

Yeah I realise that.........but was hoping that there is actually some add-on or some"thing" that could make it more usable abroad!

You could sell your handset to raise funds to pay off your current contract.

(T&C apply to people on refresh tariffs)

Or if you have a trusted family member let them use the SIM card and pay you the monthly fee.

Using TuGo over Wifi as Jonsie suggests for calls to the UK is the best way to go. If you are going to be making calls within Romania, make sure your phone is unlocked before you go, and use a local Pay & Go sim. If you use your O2 sim for that, you will be paying costly roaming charges and your bill will be very high.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
