I'm moving to the States for 9 months, starting in 2 weeks time. I'll be there all that time, apart from two weeks back here for Xmas. O2 told me a while back that my account could be suspended and that they could help set me up with a partner company in the States, but that I should call back closer to my departure date.
When I did, I was told that despite being a customer for 5 years I couldn't suspend my account as my current plan is less than half way through and that they have no international partners. Pretty annoying...
What would people recommend I do?!

You will have to keep paying the contract whilst out of the uk. Or do you have someone tht you trust to use the sim over here that could pay you the monthly fee.

I'll keep it and hope I can move down to a lower tariff in November (which I think is when I've been on contract a year). It'll be useful to have while I'm here at Xmas I guess.
