If I'm decoding this correctly I think you'll find that you can't just return your phone and walk away. You will have to pay off the remainder of the contract...

On a side note the courts are gonna be busy after Feb next year.....

Makes you wonder how borderline people are with their cash flow that they have to cancel a contract almost immediately.

Doubt the courts will entertain these as the amounts are trivial. For example, if you subtract the difference between what they should have paid and the increased sum, it doesn't even make the grade for small claims.

On the other hand, it could be a great time to pick up a cheap iphone (or other high end phones) as the market will be flooded with people trying to raise funds to buy out their contracts wink

Still its not the best advertisement for a company when you enter into a long term contract with them, is for them to go great let's see if we can screw every penny we can out of you and increase the price in the third (or first in my case) month. Just because legally you can do something it doesn't mean its the right thing to do.

I meant the courts will be busy with all the people O2 will be chasing because they have cancelled their DD or are refusing to pay their bills wink

Think we may have a few phones being sold to get out of contracts here or contracts being 'sold' so the person doesn't pay an extra few pennies

Reminds me that we should stick a warning that by passing on a contract to someone that your name is on the bill and they are still liable for all bills even in non-payment.
