I placed a order for a phone. Upfront fee was £59.99. I went through with my details etc and wasn't accepted yet the £59.99 was still taken from my account? Why take my money when I've not been accepted? When will I get this back please?

It will just be held in reserve. If the order fails it won't be called from your bank and will be released off hold in a couple of days.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks. Still stupid that they take my money before I've even made the order.

I guess they need to know you're good for it first?

You haven't placed an order for a phone. You've asked for a credit agreement for a contract that includes a phone on the same basis you want to take a loan out to purchase a product. Given its a weekend, it won't be processed till the next working day (which will monday) especially if you do it online with required credit checks and its your first one with o2. Think of it as deposit.
