Lower tariff

I've got an iPhone 6 on O2 refresh and wanted to know if I could lower my tariff? I've got 20GB data and only use 5GB at the most, but I pay £53 a month for the whole contract and now I'm a student I don't what to spend that much on it.

You can only pay off the handset part of your contract and then cancel the airtime part, it cannot be lowered.

Then your bill will halved.

If you pay off your handset there is no penalty for cancelling the airtime part. You can then take a lower tariff on a sim only contract, or even go on to Pay & Go. It won't be cheap to pay off the handset, but will probably benefit you in the long run.

Good point @Bambino  £53 per month is a hell of a lot to pay. Particularly for someone who has changed to be a student...:smileysad:
