Im currently paying £9.25p per month for my contract. That means in the space of a year my bill is going to increase to £30.85p by the second year that will be £52.45p that cannot be correct?

It's per year, not per month.

Your bill will increase to £11.05 per month and the year after to £12.85 per month

Email clearly states per month, copied and pasted directly from their email:
"With this in mind, we want to let you know that from April 2025, the cost of your airtime plan will increase by £1.80 a month."
Is it a typo?

It's very wrongly worded @Oaken
It means a £1.80 per month price increase for the next 12 months, not £1.80 every month.

So, costs per month as explained above

Yes, as I said

Just clarifying how much the OP's monthly bill will be if he does nothing
The only good thing to come from Ofcom's ruling is that you know the exact figur you will pay.
Of course O2 may decide that the extortionate £1.80 is inadequate theft in 2026 and they will in all probability put that figure to as much as £3.00/month increase!

Very probable.....
