I've used Smart Switch to transfer all my games to my new Galaxy S8+ but, of course, have lost all my progress. Is there any way I can get my progress back?

I seem to recall some suggestions a while ago when discussing this prior to the Note7 recall but can't remember what they were.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I hadn't thought of this. I'm also going to link all of them to FB just in case! Good Idea

So here's a curious one for you @viridis.

Followed your instructions for the first game Word Cookies. No prompt to server save but game automatically updated my progress to where I was at before on old phone. Tried again on next game - Word Crush - also by the same developer as it happens and again no prompt to server save. But this time game did not automatically update my progress. Tried 3rd and 4th games same thing.

So is it me? Am I going mad? 😦

Some games sync after a level is completed.
Un link from new phone or unintelligible and reinstall
Play a level on old phone and give time to sync.
Link on new phone when allowed (some require the first few levels done first
Choose server save if prompted.

Your additional info @viridis was spot on. I played a few levels in Word Crush and am now back where I should be.

I intend to link to FB in all the games I can so this doesn't happen to me again.

Thank you so much @viridis

This is one advantage Windows mobile has, all game data is backed up to one drive.

Would be nice if Google had adopted this idea

Only an advantage If you have a windows phone,
With fb sync, you can sync to android, ios, pc, Windows, even blackberry.
But tbh, it's up to the game developers to enable such api's. By default, Google games does do this auto backup once you sign in, but developers have to enable it
