I still have all the emails from the thread this morning but they only take me to the edited version.
Basically the thread had the same title ie Tesco Mobile Coverage... but was 2 years old and I asked for the move as there may have been changes from the original post @Beenherebefore

No I have found it. This was the original https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Tesco-Mobile-coverage/m-p/839448/highlight/true...

So the location hasn't changed but the new posts were split off to create a new thread.
I didn't read the thread until after it was split off so that's why it didn't stick in "Unread" for me.
You read it in the original location and so it had been marked as "Read" for you.
Agree with all of the above...however after reading the thread again it still wouldn't clear after 3 more readings...

Thanks so much for trying to help us and Lithium! You are
Just remember last Lithium update: The reason behind topics being marked as Unread again after a merge is because the system treats the original topic as updated and merged posts as new, hence why it's marking the topic as Unread. This is standard and expected behaviour and it is not possible to change.
So, if the "unread post" has been edited or moved by the moderation or community team = not a bug. The rest of examples, such as your own comments @Beenherebefore under "unread", great examples so please keep sharing them

No problems with "that's how it's supposed to work". I can appreciate that it's not possible to re-instate "Read" on an individual user basis.
What is not supposed to happen is the random "sticking" fault on an individual user basis.....I and probably nobody else can provide Lithium with anymore examples or suggestions than we already have........we've covered all situations.
I'm guessing that Lithium do not want to waste any time correcting what is a tiny fault to them but an annoying nuisance to us.
I certainly will not be increasing my post count pursuing this.

Knew it, I just knew it.
So I had the issue with this thread (https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-c...)
for a minute after @MercedesS moved/edited it.
After a couple of minutes (and marking thread as read on thread and on unread page) it cleared.
Definitely a timing/lag issue I would say...
Yes that does work @gmarkj However, the only problem is if you take that action you can not see any more posts on that particular thread until the post count on it reached page full which is 20 posts.
So by doing that you could miss something important.....

I think it's lag too. They suddenly disappear from unread anything up to 5 minutes later.
