Improvement in dealing with Spam

Anonymous
Not applicable
Over the last 2 days there appears to have been a better performance in dealing with spam that hits this forum.
Even though the regular forum members have not been red flagging spam posts, any spam that has appeared has been dealt with promptly.
Although it's early days, if this performance level continues then perhaps the next stage will be to reduce the possibility of potential spammers successfully registering a Profile.

But with no flagging it didn't take too long....I'm beginning to be impressed by the turnaround.

Look at the 2nd page of 'I need help iPhone 4' In the main iphone discussion section. They have been on for an hour.

:mansurprised: :mansurprised: :mansurprised: Geez, think you should say "don't look however it's been on for over an hour" grin It is ridiculous that pictures like that can be posted at all, nevermind left up for ages. Spam is bad enough but that is just disgusting. I know you are supposed to be 18 to be using the forum but just because we are 18 doesn't mean we want to see that when browsing a mobile phone forum :robotmad:

OK I take it all back.
Those posts are still there, it's now 4:32pm and StotPiest on Fri Jul 01, 2011 3:09 pm made his first post and continued until 3:19pm.
Very poor performance eModeration considering the visual content of the posts :womanindifferent:

Back to the drawing board, any improvements must be in our imagination I reckon, they don't seem to be doing anything! :robotmad:
