Goodbye Loyal Customer

Anonymous

Gutted to have to leave O2. I have been a loyal customer since 28/08/2013, just over 11 years.

I am quite content with my current phone but when the 24 month contract expired, I found out that my monthly payment will not change (even though I have paid for the phone).

When asked about a SIM only deal, I would have gone for the £26pcm option less the 30% F&F discount. However, this does not apply on SIM only deals!:,(

Credit where credit is due, they did try to price match any other networks 24 month contracts, but I don't need a 24 month contract!!!

It seems to me that loyalty is not important to O2. A sad day indeed.

Now this SIM only customer now gets 1200 mins (my average usage was 58 mins), unlimited texts (as was O2) and double the data 1GB (500mb on O2) on a monthly rolling contract for £12pcm.

Now if O2 would have let me key the 30% off discount, they'd have been getting my custom (£18.20 PCM) rather than nothing.

Thanks for everything over the last few years.

Mr Quigley
Ex-O2 customer/ new Virgin Mobile customer.

Hi,

Sorry to see you go.

O2 operate a fair deal policy where new and existing customers get the same deal.

Loyalty is a thing of the past im sorry to say.

Do check Virgin give you stable signal where you live, work and commute by trying out their payg sim card.

You can use F&F on SIMO contracts.....

That's not what they told me, I was specifically told that the F&F discount doesn't apply to Sim only. That's was the reason I shopped elsewhere.

It's a shame companies like O2 don't recognise loyalty, perhaps this is an untapped market! Anyway, I cannot fault them on the past service they gave me.

I can assure you you can. Who told you you couldn't?

You would normally call 202 for uk customer services for contract customers.
