Free upgrade what a pile of.....!!!!

So today I go into an O2 store to take advantage of the free upgrade after a year so I choose my new phone and contract they then want to look at my old phone to "value" it this phone has had a screen protector and case since I got it.... 

They come back after having a look to tell me they'll only give 20% of its value because of a yellow mark just above the screen I can not see a mark on it neither can anyone else who's looked at it... This is an absolute joke I walked out without upgrading 

anyone else had any trouble with this ???

Sell it to CEX then go upgrade with a different network.
