My account must have been hacked. I'm getting letters about accounts I do not have.

You need to call O2 to report any suspected Fraud on your account, @Rickster - assuming you have checked your MyO2 account and see something not quite right.
Numbers here, and go straight for the Fraud option to get through to a person. Best time to call is around 08:15 UK morning time: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
