Emails/PM's re New Ranks?

Annoying little bugbear of mine (and have been discussing this with Marjo) so it would be interesting to ask the regulars...

@MI5  is exempt

Every time we went up a rank we were informed via an auto generated PM and email.

Since Mercedes left I have never had any notification that I have moved up a rank. I only know if I notice a change on my avatar.

I know @Glory1  is the same. She is never informed nowadays. 

So who else is left out...and who gets a PM informing them of change of rank?

Whilst my last PM was from Mercedes!! I have never received one from the 'new guard'

I got one in February to say gone up to  level 2 never got one to say I had gone up to level 3

I have only had this last one level 14 and EmilieT sent me a PM

but up to level 13 I don't recall ever having one, I just noticed the change.

Thank you for asking.

I got a pm from @EmilieT to say my rank was level 13, followed by another minutes later to say it had been moved up to level 14.

Now I am on level 15 but did not receive a pm to say I had been moved up.

Nope I’m the same. I’ve gone up 3 levels since she left & no pm like I used to

I'm not so active in the forums these days, so it's been quite a while since I last ranked up. And as I'm not around so much, I've actually turned my PMs off, so I wouldn't know anyway. But if I happen to be logged in, there would usually be a "notification" advising of a change in rank, so the automated PM would just be duplicating effort.

Mind you, I've just checked my notifications again, and there's no record of my last change of rank, so perhaps both issues are linked

Cheers for the info, is that the Notifications feed you mean, the one next to your Settings and Messages at the top of the page? The tech guys looking into this actually wanted to know if the rank-up appears in the Notifications feed or not!
