Replacing my iPhone today due to accidental damage. Nice and easy same day replacement. Call o2 to tell them I need my e sim QR code for the new phone only to be told it’s got to be posted out!? What’s the point of having electronic options if you using manual processes? I’m now offline for a few days as a result, ridiculous

According to the info re e-sims

The esim pack includes a voucher with a QR code which you'll need to scan using your phone’s camera. This will download an esim profile to your device. The esim pack gives you step by step instructions on how to do this.

The esim pack also contains the Sim Serial Number (SSN) of your esim profile, which you'll need in order to move your existing mobile number across to an esim.

Unfortunately, we cannot answer for O2's decisions......

I know EE will email a QR code but why O2 won't is beyond us?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
