Worth a try?
You will most probably have the same deal as anyone else but if you don't ask you don't get.

This "long standing" stuff really bugs me.
Take two really basic examples:
1 guy been with o2 for 5 years, spends £10 a month, never goes over allowances, and has had 2 £100 basic handsets. So he's spent £600 and cost O2 £200 in subsidies. Therefore O2 have made £400 off him in 5 years.
2nd guy has been with O2 for 2 years. He's on a £36 contract but regularly goes over, averaging about £55 a month. His phone subsidy was £350. So he's spent £1320 and cost £350. So O2 have made £970 out of him - more than double in half the time.
3rd guy is just coming to O2 for the first time - has no history so O2 don't know what they're going to make from him.
Who is more deserving of a better deal over the other? There's an argument for both sides. So the fairest thing to do is to say to all of them - it doesn't matter what you've spent with o2 and it doesn't matter how long you've been with o2, you'll all get the same deal.
That's the decision O2 have made.

I've shopped at Tesco instead of Asda for years but I don't get a percentage off my shopping!

But as stated, all 3 guys walk into Asda and they all pay the same price.

I did get a loyalty bonus from my butcher once, I think he was short of change though.
