Hi I got a deal through Affordable Mobiles for an iPhone 16 (£189 upfront) and sim plan with o2; due to the price increase I contacted o2 about cancellation charges, they informed me that I don’t have a device contract and will pay £0 if I leave. I contacted Affordable Mobiles who say I owe them nothing and to contact o2 about device. I contacted o2 customer services again who say I have an airtime only plan and no device plan and will be charged £0, I’m worried I leave and they then come looking for payment, what rights do I have?

You can just leave and take your number elsewhere for free.

It would seem that that the cost of the handset when purchased through a third party just disappears into the clouds
As the contract is not Refresh there is no handset agreement so it appears you only owe zero pounds to leave and inherit the handset for free

There are other posts on here confirming it's free to leave and keep the phone too @Rosemary22
I guess some lucky ones with deals such as this.

Small victory, but I doubt O2 supplied the phone......
