Direct to Bill ~ Charge to Mobile.

Hi guys.

Well I've just been on to O2 Customer Services via 4445 to ask for a bar to be placed on my account to stop this service which was in connection to recent posts we've been discussing.

It took a while to clarify I didn't want my Big Bundle or Bolt On removing.

The agent then put me on hold and spoke to a manager and came back to say no bar facility exists !

Has anyone else had any confusion and issues with this ?

Rich I tried several different ways.

Ie

Me, Are you aware of charge to mobile.

Agent, Yes.

Me, I want to place a bar to stop that service.

Agent, If I remove your big bundle or bolt on your data will stop.

Me, don't touch those please. It's nothing to do with those. I want to stop charge to mobile.

Agent, you cannot stop this service.

Me, I use the community forum and have been advised by O2 staff there a bar does exist to stop
Charge to mobile.

I then changed tact.

Me, do you know this is also called charge to mobile , direct to bill.

Agent, yes

Me. Well it's that I want to stop.

Agent, which company is trying to charge you.

Me, their isn't a company involved. I want to not have the charge to mobile - direct to bill option so I cannot be charged by any 3rd party company or o2 for such services.

Agent, I'll speak to my manager.
Came back and said no sorry their is no opt out service or bar available.

If you text spam to O2 that will stop it.

Me, so theirs 100% no option to opt out or bar this service.

Agent , No.

Anyways, I raised this concern yesterday and I'll raise it again now....
Having read the O2 FAQ's on C2M I don't believe it will stop the scammers anyway as it's a different billing platform completely
http://www.o2.co.uk/chargetomobile ??

I have to agree I don't think it has anything to do with scammers hence why I'm not bothered about it being on
