Received the following from +44 7956 461931 today:
DVLA: We have recalculated your vehicle tax, you are owed £73.79 due to overpayment.
The message then contains a web link to follow so that the "refund" can be processed.
Number blocked and reported to 7726.
According to the DVLA's website "All our tax refunds are generated automatically after a motorist has told us they have sold, scrapped or transferred their vehicle to someone else so we don’t ask for anyone to get in touch with us to claim their refund".
Interesting then that I have done neither of the three things the DVLA mentions yet am due a refund!
Remain vigilant people!

And fake "We tried to deliver this while you were out, please click to have it redelivered..." ones too. 🙄

and the phone call I had yesterday telling me that my Amazon account would be suspended unless I paid $39.99 to them to release the fraud bar they had applied 😂
The 2 of those made to our house (me first, the Mrs a few days later) came with the "Your Amazon Prime is about to expire, please renew it now for $75" (yes, dollars!).
Amazon never call, they just slide the charge onto your credit card at renewal...
(Not sure if that isn't as bad, tbh 🤔)
