"People like freedom of speech - and who is Apple to tell me I can't record something?

Apple have been telling people what they can't do since day one - why so surprised now?

I think you'd find a lot of people ditching their iPhones if they implemented that.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

and if it was incorporated into the camera lense.....?
You'd need to slap an IR filter over it, but they'll never do it anyway.

They would never get away with that. It's like downloading and converting to digital music. This has cost the music industry dearly, and they are still lagging behind wondering, what can we do to stop this. Simple answer is, you can't. You just hope real fans will buy the cd rather than take a copy from their buddies or worse, download a torrent.

I heard that on the news this morning, Apparently the venue has to install something as well to ensure the iPhone doesn't work...

And to add...as someone who goes to a lot of concerts, folk standing in front of me filming get on my damn nerves. I don't pay good money to see a wall of phones recording the act I am unable to see!

I have seen security confiscate mobiles when people film. You don't get it back until you delete any footage.

That's illegal in the UK......police have been issued guidance on it.
