Hi All

I am considering moving over to O2, but just need to check on an eSim option.

I have my own Samsung S10+, and also a Samsung Active 2 4G watch.

So I will be looking to purchase a Sim Only contract for my phone, and will then require an eSim for my watch.

I just simply need to know if there would be an additional charge for supplying the eSim, and also using it?

For example, I discovered that EE charge £7 per month for an eSim contract on top of the Sim only contract for the phone. Two contracts with one number.

So not sure if this is the case with every provider, or once you have a contract of sorts, you can apply for a free (supply and use) eSim too, that runs alongside the existing contract without additional cost.

Any clarification appreciated thanks..... slight_smile

@Technik21

There will be no charge for the esim.

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/esim

Any cost will be related to the tariff you choose for the watch.

@Cleoriff  Thank you for the quick reply.

I have just read in another post, that O2 don't currently support eSims for the Samsung Active 2 watches, just iPhone watch, so I now need to invesitagate this too...

Thanks once again

Of course they don't. Just the Apple Watch. Apologies for my Sunday Morning brain fade upside_down

To get an esim pack you need to call O2

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

It will cost you £5 per month for an Apple watch eSim.

The Apple watch requires a data plan to work with the eSim.

There is no actual cost for an eSim but you can't get one without the data plan, which is £5 per month.
