Changing Account Details

O2 must be the worst interface website I have ever used..... I tried to update my account email address, nowhere does it give that option, I 'spoke' to an online assistant - explained what I needed to do and was told that it was all changed.

Logged in next day and nothing has been changed.....

There isnt even an email address to contact anyone - the phone assistance isnt a help either (nothing for account issues - AND they charge!!)

Think I will move my phone to a company that thinks of these things....

It worked fine for me when I did it last week.

When I logged in and it showed my accounts, I clicked on the 'change username' option on the right side of the page and once I put my password in and my new email address in, I had to click the link that O2 sent to my new email address to confirm it and then it worked.

I tried to change my username earlier today and discovered that O2 are insisting now that everyone use their email addresses as usernames, and I had to contact an agent as I believe this is unacceptable. Having been a victim of hacking in the past and knowing several other hacking victims, I feel that advertising my email address (even without the @etc.com blah blah) does not promote security. I explained this to the agent to no avail, so I will keep defering the change as long as I can and when they insist I will escalate my complaint
