Hi

I'm writing this about my wife's account as we're utterly screwed at the moment. Signed up for a o2 sim only package for her (I should have known better). We've opted for a sim only due to me having Virgin and got a great deal on a Volt package. We selected SIM Only and opted to port her number to it. The confirmation has come from o2 so we thought time to do battle with the O2 VM signing service. Entering her email address and accepting the email that it sends then asks her to confirm her password or create a device passkey. Irrespective of which we pick we then get error 400 and returned to the o2 webpage. We've tried 3 laptops, 3 phones, 2 separate internet connections and the same.

Can anyone suggest a way around this? The number is due to port Tuesday so ideally I needed access for her by then.

Thanks in advance.

That new-fangled password setup is problematic - sometimes, best to go as far as you can then wait a day, see if all the cogs line up next day and it lets you into the next step, @Benwiddowson82 - I will tag the Forum manager, @Dave-O2, who may reach out to you tomorrow or Tuesday here via PM for more details to follow up on the O2 side

Keep an eye on your SPAM folder, sometimes Forum notification emails end up in there - good luck!

Verify it's you needs to have the e-mail address you registered with (this can be a stumbling block if you've had many contracts with O2 over the years) or the mobile number you have active with O2 now.

In my case, the e-mail arrived quickly but with a broken link, the SMS arrived about 6 hours later...

Set up sign-in method really only wanted MFA with an app on your handset for scanning QR codes...

2FA was fairly straightforward after that.

Keep trying, @Benwiddowson82 - and try in an Incognito or InPrivate browser window tab just to be sure the login to the Forum or any other cookie is not interfering.

Good luck!
