Hi All,
I took a data plan on a contract with a Samsung Galaxy watch 4 with O2 last year and the eSim was working all fine on my watch. I have not upgraded my watch to Galaxy Watch 6 but did not get this watch from O2.
However, O2 has told me now that my eSim can ONLY work with the watch I got from O2. This basically means that I will now have to pay for my data plan that I am never going to be using it. This fundamentally does not sound right since you can always use a mobile sim on any other phone.
I received this email from O2.
"As per our telephonic conversation you can not use an 02 watch e-sim
plan on a different device which was not bought from 02.
The reason why your recived the watch is because you took out an e-sim
plan for the watch.
Kind regards
02 team"
Do you think this is right and whether I can do anything about it? I of course want to use my eSim on the new watch especially since I will be paying for it until my contract ends.
Thanks.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this
or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

Are you still paying off your Watch 4 as if you are they are correct, as the esim is tied to that watch.
If it is paid off cancel the old esim and then start again..
