Bill increase

i was going to leave O2 last year but they offered me a good deal of £13 as I was out of contract. The recent Bill increase has added £4 a month, which I believe to be a ridiculous amount. Has anyone else experience this problem? I'm not going to pay £17 as I could get a new contract for that price.

Live chat were likely speaking from a prepared script, your better off contacting cs on 202 & speaking to a human

I agree with that @Cairdeas I think its good that the OP achieved a discount for a year. I have never been so lucky..:smileysad:

Well @Anonymous , the original tariff was 17.00,full price, they gave you 4.00 discount for 12 months, bringing the total down to 13.00. Once the 12 months are up it automatically reverted to the full cost tariff. Shame Web chat didn't make this clear. If you still not happy my advice would be to speak to upgrades, on the phone, and they will see what they can do.

According to the OPs post (14) ...they have already been given a second discount..i.e.

"No overspend and Last month I sent one mms. I contacted them today on chat and my contract expired in March. After an hour I was offered £3 loyalty discount, as what happened last year. So I guess this is the mystery increase, but extremely difficult to get a very basic answer!!"

I was just trying to simplify it as based on that post the OP somehow still seems confused about what happened and the £ 3 were offered by webchat, retention has different things not just discounts, it's always worth it to speak to them....and in the end, if you are not happy, you can always get your pac code wink
