Basic phones for calls or texts only

Hi there,

Does anyone know best/cheap phones to purchase for calls or texts only with a top up sim and no contract? I've tried to speak to a human being at O2 but not having any luck! Any help would be appreciated. Sarah

It's all a matter of personal choice @Anonymous 

If you are buying for someone elderly then the Doro phone is good. Just for calls and  texts.

Personally I would go somewhere like Tesco and chose from there (or even Amazon online).

If you just want a Classic PAYG sim, then you can get one from Tesco, Asda or Giffgaff.

At least if you go instore you can see exactly what you want there.

Hi, 

I would look at the Nokia 105 and you can buy it sim free for £25 and then look at 1p Mobile as they seem to be one of the only PAYG options now that offer a classic type PAYG service, you might be able to find one on Tesco Mobile, but they are phasing out a classic PAYG offering.
