So I thought I had a 24 month contract for 60GB and iPhone until June 2025 , I txted last month to 85075 and it was £200 early termination charges, I txted today and its 0, I called 202 and they confirmed im out of contract now.

Question is will I get a bill if I move to a new provider or if it's wrong will O2 honour the 0 early termination charges. I wish to move provider as I find  the data coverage poor on O2

Thanks

@Tally101

Due to the latest new price rise announcement, you can cancel for free, but as I understand it, you still need to continue the payments for your device plan, so keep your phone and keep paying for it to O2 but get a cheaper sim only deal elsewhere for example.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks . I have spoken to O2 again and they say I can cancel the airtime part of the contract but due to the bundle I'm on the cost will be the same per month. They are now also checking why the earlier team said im out of contract without telling me I have to pay for the device. I will update when they call back

So the agent checks with the retention team and I have been told I can cancel all with no charges. I have asked for an email confirming all of this .  I hope this goes well.
