So you may or may not have heard, but most mobile networks across the globe are now starting to set up there 5G networks. But at present there are no 5G mobile phones as of today 3rd Feb 2019
However recently AT&T in the USA has requested that the networks show 5Ge on their 4G Devices to which it’s causing confusion.
There is True 5G in USA and AT&T are calling this 5G+. But only one device support it and that’s a Netgear Nighthawk Modem. It’s only in 12 US cities.
This is the article from at& the own website
https://www.att.com/5g/consumer
AT&T 5Ge stands for is “5G Evolution” is our first step on the road to 5G. Our improvements are already enabling faster speeds on our existing LTE network. (4G)
So if People are saying they have connected to a 5Ge network, all it is, is a 4G+ Network like others call it.
This happened the same with 3G to 4G in USA if I remember.
it caused a lot of confusion.
Im not saying what AT&T is doing wrong, im just making people aware that’s 5Ge = 5G Evolution is just 4G +
Apple has no 5G devices and may not get any until 2020. Who knows.
Android has yet release a 5G device, but I’m sure some will be realised in early 2019 possibly.
Current Android and Apple Devices showing in USA on 5Ge when it’s really 4G+

No Probs @Cleoriff. Hope youre well.
i know this 5Ge is causing confusion over in States. Lots of articles for it.
The same did happen, when some US networks regraded 3G+ to 4G over night. But all customers were still on 3G basically.
From my my knowledge only the US networks do this.

It would be the US networks that do this.
Are customers not wise to their antics by now? I'd take everything they said with a pinch of salt.
