So my data gets renewed on the 7th of every month. I'm pretty careful to make sure mobile data is turned off when not in use as I know that can drain the data. I mainly use in my lunch break for 40 mins just to surf whatsapp and facebook, but how on earth has my data drained so quickly? I'm always so careful and it's odd because I use my data for all the same things; for at work or in London which is 3 times a week and plenty of times my data had lasted and lasted and runs out a few days before renewal but a few times like this I have run out within the space of a few days! I just don't get it. I don't know what to do about it at all! Can I even complain?

Check your phones settings to see if their is a data counter included which shows what is using what.
Also some apps are available that both collate this info and some help to compress data use such as Onavo.
If you feel Your usage does not mirror the data gone then give O2 Customer Services is 202 for Contract -> 4445 for PAYG -> http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus a bell.

Make sue youhave auto play turned off for facebook videos. Other than that, check in the settings for what app is using the most data.

Perhaps the Op can confirm what phone they are using?
