Hey all

Interested in seeing what 4G and 5G Speeds you are getting around the country.

I see loads of tweets with EE, Three and Vodafone speeds but hardly any from O2 customers.

Cheers

Hi @Anonymous - I'll gladly get some speeds for 4G for you, but no 5G in this part of the UK yet except for a city and a suburb about 110miles away: https://www.o2.co.uk/5G

What tool/app do you prefer for collecting the info - there are many available (I use 2 or 3 different apps - O2 My Network app, Opensignal app, and a 3rd app which I can't remember the name of, for comparison)?

Had a mixture of results - from ~2Mbps up to 80Mbps depending on location and time.
I'll echo the other parts - any app/site preferred and looking for any locations?

Hi

No 5G where I am in Bucks at the mo and no 5G kit at the moment.

My local mast also has a fault showing so I'll run some tests from the carpark when I'm back at work on Monday as there's also less trees and buildings around which do weaken (attenuate) or block the signal.

Are you having some problems or are you looking at joining?

Trying it out at the moment but FAR from impressed.

Tried a SIM swap so cant be an issue with the SIM, have tried in 4 phones so cant be the phone.

Today I had full 4G+ signal and max I got was 1.5Mbps!

Reported over the years but according to O2 there is no fault

You'll find 3g faster in congested areas.

Just run two tests at work (Milton Keynes).
On 4G / 4G+ and got 19.3 & 20.3 down and 5.3 & 8.3 up.
Will try again at lunch time to see what I get.
