4G active in Manchester - Page 3

After changing into a 4G tariff last night, I went into Manchester city centre today, et voila... my phone found 4G signal and it works! So it seems 4G is afoot in Manchester. Speedtest was about 10Mbps down, 15Mbps up.
It seems to be only active in Manchester city centre, as I live in a North Manchester suburb and there is no 4G signal here.

I also managed to try it our in Bradford, where I got much higher speeds, about 25Mbps down AND up.

Promising stuff!

Got 4G in Liverpool couple of weeks ago, didn't explore how far the signal was available but I got signal in the ground floor of an old thick wall building on Hatton Garden, near Central Perk.

Just tried it here at work (about 1-2 miles from City Centre, behind Man City stadium), got 2 bars 4G signal, speeds about 12Mbps up and down, not too shabby!

Although I had clocked 20+ Mbps in Bradford a month ago, I hope we will see such speeds here too.

I just got an S4 and first day on the 4G network in Whalley Range, South Manchester but sadly only got about 0.5 download and less up. I tried 3G at the same time and that was considerably less... I used to get a much better signal where I am so I'll give it another try sometime soon. I'm excited to see what speeds I'll get around Manchester now that some time has passed since you all have been active on this thread!
