Scams happen all the time @Anonymous we hear a lot about them at any time of the year...I dont think they are being specific they are just targetting O2 customers...who during the holiday period may just think..'oh this sounds good'.....
We had one customer this morning on another thread actually signed up to an unwanted contract and is now having to extricate herself from it

It's all too easy to fall for these scams especially in light of the detail in them.
As a matter of interest, did the text and the subsequent texts come from a mobile number or a short 5 digit code?
