Hi @Anonymous It depends where you are going to whilst on holiday. These are O2 travel charges if travelling to Europe

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/international/using-phone-in-europe

In short the charge is £1.99 per day which includes 120 mins of calls and 120 texts as well as data.

So, if within your tariff allowance you could say you would pay £28 for a 2 week holday (on top of your monthly tariff charge)

I go to Spain a lot and have free access to Wifi so will be opting out of O2 travel and using Tu over Wifi for calls and texts

From July 14th there is an extension to O2 travel to include other 30 other countries outsdie of Europe

http://www.o2.co.uk/o2travelupdate

If you opt out of O2 travel you will be paying standard roaming rates

Check the details from O2.  I don't think it's quite this cut and dry,..

Stay connected in Europe with O2 Travel for £1.66 a day

With O2 Travel you'll pay just £1.66 (ex VAT) for each day you make calls, send texts and use data in Europe. It costs nothing to add to your tariff. You'll only pay when you use it.

For data there's no upper usage limit, but traffic management steps apply after you use 50MB of data. If you want more data at full speed just text MOREDATA to 23336 and you'll get another 50MB at full speed for an additional £1.66.

For calls and texts, you can continue to join those conference calls and text your team, but there is a fair usage policy of 120 minutes and 120 texts a day.

Your daily charge of £1.66 applies from midnight to midnight UK time. Terms apply.

Some people have found that data is very slow in many European countries. Not been for a while myself tbh but it's worth trying at 1.99 a day.

Bear in mind though that if you opt in then sending a singlr text will trigger the daily rate.

As long as you don't expect to do any streaming you should be OK with o2 travel but data is too slow to do anything more.than email or basic browsing.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
