Hi @Plough
Be very wary of cold calls could be a scam.
Good that you double checked at O2 Customer Services.
My thoughts are never respond to this kind of call. They
would want your details etc. very tricky!
Stay Cool about offers!

It was most def O2 business, the initial phone call in mid nov was offering a tablet I did not require the advisor before offering the tablet reviewed my current sim package and suggested a change to an available sim package that reduced my monthly cost then suggested a free tablet with a small data package .when i declined the free tablet he said to take the new sim offer, however when I was put on to the line to wait for another advisor my time was tight that day and as nobody seem to want to answer the call I hung up to call back yesterday . What really annoyed me was if I wanted a new phone I could upgrade and yet O2 are keeping the phone cost and the sim contract separate so what difference could it make? Just so inconsistant ,its not the biggest issue in the world I am sure I will survive lol
PS thanks to Cleoriff and TallTrees for their advice

Sorry it didn't work out for you @Plough
It all seems rather weird as I said in my first post. It may well have been a 3rd party acting for O2 Business.
Hope you can sort something out soon. O2 Business and O2 Consumer do tend to have offers on over the Christmas period. Best of luck.
