Hi have an iPhone 12 Pro and just moved business line on to eSIM.

Got things working but, can’t seem to activate iMessage/FaceTime with the eSIM number. I can select the number in the list to send/receive, but it just spins and doesn’t ever enable.

I’ve tried toggling the eSIM off, tried turning the physical SIM off but the eSIM

number never activates.

any ideas?

Thanks.

I’ve set the number in FaceTime/iMessage settings. It just spins and doesn’t seem to be activating

A sledgehammer to crack a nut approach is to do a reset of your network settings.

But you will lose any saved wifi passwords by doing this unless they are backed up to iCloud.

After that, it's time to look at reinstalling your eSim or getting a new one.

Things are worse than I realised, sms also doesn’t work, only iMessage on my original nano sim, but no sms on either sim. Spoke to O2 today and they jigged around on my account, some restarts and then both SMS lines started working. Only temporarily and now then no SMS again.
Briefly had iMessage on both accounts working, until I had to troubleshoot with O2 and then that broke again.

tried resetting network settings, didn’t solve it.

Soft reset (volume up down, power til Apple logo) and that’s got it working for now, but I suspect it’s temporary.

can’t imagine it’s a sim / eSIM issue when it works but just stops working
