Wifi Calling Fails

No mobile signal at home, remote location. So have Samsung S9 and WiFi calling. When connected it works well, but: If the phone switches off, through flat battery or software upgrade, when back on there is no WiFi calling. Internet is fine. Tried all sorts of resets, phone and network. The only solution is to drive car to nearest mobile signal, reset Wifi and then return home, so an hour later, back home it will normally connect again. Old phone was S7 did the same thing. Also have new wireless router, same result. O2 help line has no solution. Any ideas? Thank, Peter

Hi, yes, it appears that the phone has to register with the network each time before connecting to WiFi Calling. A bit counter productive as you need WiFi Calling when there is no signal.

@EmilieT Hello EmilieT. I still have the same issue. There was a software upgrade yesterday and today despite a 30 mile rouind trip WiFi calling will not work.

Do you have any suggestions or somewhere/someone that may be able to help. We are so remote with no telephone and a bit desperate.

Peter

Our solution in the end was to pay for the BoostBox. Now installed and it does work well. But a shame this is the only answer in so many rural communities. All the investmnt is in the cities.
