Volt and O2 Business?

Hi all,

I've read as best I can through the Ts&Cs on the Virgin website and also the O2 one, but it doesn't look promising. I've seen some conflicting advice.

I have O2 on a business monthly contract, registered to my home address (but in the business name)

I will be getting Virgin Media for broadband shortly.

It looks like O2 business doesn't qualify as an eligible contract for Volt and the free speed increase.

Has anyone managed to cajole O2 or Virgin into enabling it?

Does anything here help?

https://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/small-business/virgin-media-o2/

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Robatwork

O2 T&C's for volt here https://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/business/volt-terms-and-conditions-for-o2-business

What is the Volt Offer?
1.    Eligible Customers who have an Eligible O2 Tariff and make, or have made, a Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase (a “Participant”) will unlock exclusive Volt benefits for their Eligible O2 Tariff as follows:

Either:
Mobile Data Boost: The monthly data allowance for your Eligible O2 Tariff will be doubled for all tariffs from 6GB and above. Any unused data will rollover to the following billing month in line with your Data Rollover terms which can be found at https://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/business/business-inclusive-minute-and-text-tariff-terms-fro...

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for the replies. Sadly that last link which I hadn't seen before implies the contract works much the same in the reverse direction. That is, if you're an O2 business customer then you need VM business broadband.  Pretty sure I'm out of luck but I wait in hope someone in the same position reading this (O2 business, VM home) has had a positive result by asking the right person 🙂

@Robatwork

Someone was asking this at work to our VMB account manager, as we have some business broadband supplied to peoples home via VMB, and they have personal o2 contracts...

The answer we got was both contracts have to business contracts, so I am afraid the answer will be not possible.....
