It really does depend on various factors.
It used to be 24-48 hrs. Now it can take up to 5 days.
If you have paid a bill late and your phone has been cut off, it has taken some people up to 10 days to get service resumed.
Is your bill up to date? o2 are swift to turn off sims if there is an outstanding balance. Contact the payment management team to talk to them - call them direct on 0800 902 0217 (you can use Skype as it is an 0800 number). Guide: A Guide to Skype

Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
