Hello,
Since Saturday I’m not able to receive the text messages from Hmrc with the access code for two steps authentication on their portal(they use a short code 60886).
I tried reseting the network setings, cleaning the sim and calling customer services.
I also checked if their phone number was in the blocked contacts list but nothing seems to be working.I’m receiving texts from other contacts as normal.
I also have another phone with another sim on O2 contract and on that one I’m able to receive the text messages from Hmrc instantly.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks,

Yes sorry, that was supposed to read although not charged.....

I'd still ask customer service to increase your spend cap to £5.00

@Alex0235 Have you tried the sim that can receive the texts in the phone that can't? If that sim works, then you probably need a new sim. You'll have to request that from customer service.

Hello,
I changed the other sim and it works fine,so no issue with the phone settings or connection.
If the sim is faulty why I’m still receiving text messages from other people?
Thanks,

Do you have a spend cap on that account?

Although the texts are charged, we've known for spend caps to mess some things up in the past.

I have a £0 spend cap. The contract is from Carphone warehouse. Until Saturday I had no problems and I was requesting those codes almost daily. The texts that they send are free.
Thanks,
