Hi, i have just found out that an elderly relative is paying £42.00 a month for a contract with O2, but she has her own phone, so i said she should find out why she is paying sooo much. When she contacted O2 she was told she had a contract with Ariel Direct and was also paying for a service called mgage. What???
This is a marketing tool.
She rang ariel direct and was told she could not cancel without paying over £300. She is a pensioner. She tought she was with O2. She said she was contacted some time ago by Ariel Direct offering a great deal, she thought it was O2. This is disgusting. Looking at other posts it seems its a legitimate scam, signing people up for a business account so its not covered by the consumer protection act,
How many people are they conning???
So what can i do. Any help appreciated
