why hasonline help chat has been busy all day

ive been trying to connect to online help chat all day and it has been constantly busy.

I ordered a new iphone yesterday and have had the order confirmation but not the delivery email.

When I ordered it yesterday I was told that it would be delivered today

Live chat appears broken at the moment (like most things around here just lately!).
If you've not had the dispatch email, it ain't coming, so don't wait in for it.

Hi @k11 Live chat has been busy all day. Just to note you will be getting the phone AFTER you receive dispatch confirmation....so it wont be on its way today..

As O2's stock reporting isn't live, and it's now less than two weeks before Christmas, and many people have ordered phones for presents who won't be getting them because O2 is probably out of stock even though they say they're not, I expect that both Live Chat and trying to get through to CS by phone will be reasonably busy, if nigh on impossible. I think there will be many disappointed customers this year.
