unblocking my iphone

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I recently upgraded my tariff and received the new phone. I sent the request to ublock my old phone IPhone 5S but I have been informed that it may take up to 7 days for this to happen. My question is can I take the SIM card out from the old phone and start using the new one while i'm waiting for the phone to be unbloced? or does the phone has to have the SIM card in it during this process? Also does the phone needs to be in UK for the unblocking to be sucessful?

Many thanks,

Iwona

You can take the sim out, turn the phone off or do whatever now.
You will usually get a response within 72 hours too.

No need for it to be in UK either for iPhones as the IMEI is unblocked on apples servers, not individual networks.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
