Did not know his friend was from snatch until i was going round there to confront them,(Thanks for the warning son) if i knew before i would not have let him at all nor would i have let him hang around with him my son feels very guilty about the whole thing and how a mate could do that.but snatch is very poor and does not even own a phone. and he see us with lots of gadets. even my 5yr old has an 32gb ipad. like you say take it as a loss, but know i have to figure what my options are as only 6 mths into contract with no phone. : (

Hmm I do kind of understand not having the luxuries in life I grew up rather poor and remember the insane jealousy of people who could afford even the smallest of luxuries. Still no excuse for theft! If you want somthing work hard for it, don't take what others have worked hard for themselves.

Ouch. Right well you could try the home insurance they normally cover these sort of things.(maybe tell them it was a loss rather than theft:/ you will have to provide a police indcident number if theft is claimed).

There's always the option of buying a 2nd hand phone? Avoid eBay at all costs you'll most likly get stiched up with a blocked iPhone. There are some reputable sellers but you can never be to careful.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

Been to police to report it and they say i can only report as lost as even he said would be hard to prove and also agreed that maybe i should of left my phone open for a bit longer to see any activity on the phone. Also went into my local mobile shop and he said that if i give them a imei number that if anybody comes into shop trying to get it unblock they have the right to confiscate the phone, so i did just that and he will notify the other mobile shops in town plus the shops in the next town. : ) its all worth ago

How hard would it be for the Police to check your IMEI number against the phone the Pikey has....??

Likelihood is its already sold:(

Terrible news 😞 I can only hope he has it and tries to get it unblocked!

I don't think the police could gain a warrent for search based on only one phone call:(

This would only happen if this persons property was raided for something else and the iPhone showed up as not theirs.

My son was mugged for a psp and some months down the line the muggers house was raided and the psp was logged as stolen. After the court case it was returned to us.
