My phone is now blocked can you still trace a phone using find my phone when blocked ?

i was going to the police once i checked to see if i had valid phone ins. but as it stands i did not complete the who form of the phone ins as it is with my bank : ( so know ive got no phone ins so is it still worth me going to the police

Its still theft regardless of insurance or not.....

Of course. At the best case scenario you get it back with damages they get a record(won't do it again?). Worst case they cannot prove anything:(

Also i found out that i am dealing with a type of person but have to be careful how i word things . Just think of the film Snatch and a caravan lol so i got a feeling i would get nowhere as i have already confronted the parents and she said she did not recieve any calls from my phone but if my o2 account is saying that the phone call was made then it would have registered on her phone.

also as i know who stole the phone and only lives few doors around the corner , have i blocked it to soon, would i have more chances of proving they got it by leaving it open for a bit longer just to find the location using the find my phone app and a few more phones calls from it ?

I'm sure the police have ways of tracking it. As for the find my iPhone app it will work if the phone connects to wifi(be more accurate as well).

Arrgh your my new favourite person on these forums referencing snatch :D. In which case I can only advise being careful how you proceed. Police will be your only option at this point. However if they are as I expect the phone is probally long gone by now:(

Do you have proof of the theft? I mean more than a phone call to the parents of the years award winners?

No proof at all apart from that 7 sec call, and they just denied that there son would of taken it. he has been in my house a few times playing on the ps3 with my son and i left my phone , purse and money in the kitchen where i always leave it when he been here before and not a problem but then there were other kids there as well, this time he was left in the frontroom at the time on his own only for a couple of mins, I can remember 6 mths ago we was eager to get our phones lol. snatch best film going....

You might be able to claim on house insurance. Somtimes with families like these its safer to just let it go. They don't tend to care too much about police.
