onetel.com and the iPhone 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi. I have a new iPhone 5 and can't send out email (onetel.com) . I have looked at your advice to use the O2.co.uk instead but since my user name is xxx.com the username you suggest in the forumal would become xxx.com.co.uk which obviously doesn't work.

Secondly, email reception is very patty, some I do but mist I don't receive. So my question relates to whether this can be solved or whether to completely leave the onetel.com email scenario?

It is in the smtp server settings you need to use o2.co.uk, ie "smtp.o2.co.uk". You incoming should be your normal full email address and password. Incoming port should be 110 and outgoing port is 25. Do not tick SSL or SPA and make sure you do tick "remember user name and password"
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
