I get a message saying impt. server is unavailable check settings in mail. I have done this and used the settings that are quoted in the help section but still no joy, can anyone help me please??

That change is due in April but you are right, mine is set up through Gmail n the phone. On the iphone it needs to be set up through either Google or Exchange mail using the server m.google.com.

Try these settings:
Incoming Sky Mail Server : imap.tools.sky.com
Outgoing Sky Mail Server : smtp.tools.sky.com
Incoming Port 995
Outgoing Port 465
Make sure you have your full sky email address entered and the password entered correctly.

thanks jonsie - i had 993 in for the imap server unfortunately i still get message when trying to verify
imap.tools.sky.com is not responding - check your network connection and that you entered the correct info in the incoming mail server field

Ive just checked the settings I have in my phone which are working fine: Make sure you have your full email address as your username.

thanks jonsie i have treble checked the settings and they are correct. still getting same message for one of my accounts, the one associated with imap.tools.sky.com

There's nothing on the Sky status page and mine is working fine. Possibly related to just wisardeaw's account?

Is this a recent problem and have you been able to access sky mail on your iphone previously?

Have you tried setting it up as pop mail. Much better to use imap but if there are new emails perhaps setting up as pop may be a short term fix. You would have to make sure pop and imap are enabled on your PC.

Hi there,
Currently Sky use Google for their email solution, however this will soon be moving to Yahoo. Until they swap, you should be able to configure your email as a Goodle / GMail solution.
After the swap you'll need to redo it using the Yahoo! option.
