Hello! I’ve got a new sim - new number - for an old iphone 5 that im using as a business number. Its on the same account as my personal phone. I set up my old phone as a new iphone so none of my old info is on there and i could start a fresh. However, every text i send from my personal phone is being sent on my old phone as well. my old phone/new contract only has limited texts so im using them when not even texting from that phone. What do i need to do please?

Sounds like you apple ID is set to be reachable on both phones.
On the one you don't want to be involved, go to settings >messages >send and receive and remove your email address so that only your phone number is ticked.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

It’s to do with your Apple ID. If you look in your settings under iCloud you should find that there is a ticked box for sending everything that ever happens to every device on this account, (not worded quite like that but you follow what I mean). I had a similar problem with 18 year old Russian virgins just .5 km from my present location (or was it Nigerian widows needing to access 20 squillion dollars with my confidential help). They were keen to hook up. My wife was intrigued that someone as boring as me should be living such an exotic hidden lifestyle.

Go through your preferences on your iCloud account. You’ll find the answer there, I’m sure.

Hi @Emma10, did you get a chance to look into settings as the other members suggested? Are you still experiencing this issue or is it all good now?

Thanks @MI5 and @MusicIan for the useful info smiley
