I currently have an iphone 4s and would like an iphone 6s.

I am out of contract.

What's the best way to do this please?

In case the others aren't about @Agent47..

If you go to an O2 store you will be able to get a Refresh contract..IF they have the iPhone in stock.

If you go to Apple you will be more likely to get the phone as they will have stock...but you wont get Refresh...

Go instore to upgrade.
If you order online you'll have to wait for stock etc and the website sometimes has problems with processing payments too.
If you go in store you can walk out with your new phone.

@Agent47  Your best bet is to go in store, as O2's stock online isn't live and is unreliable. Alternatively you could try Carphone Warehouse, if getting the phone on a Refresh contract isn't all that important to you.

Bambino / MI5,

Thanks.

Not sure if you are allowed to answer this, but would it make a difference if I go to an Apple store or O2 store for a new iPhone?

FYI, I wish to stay on my current contract/number, but obviously now want a new iphone (4s is old!), which I know I will have to pay for, but this would be cheaper than entering into another long and expensive contract....

It's fine to buy sim free from Apple and continue to use your current sim.
You'll need to get a swap to a nano sim but any o2 store will do that for you for free.
You might also want to look at the latest simo tariffs in case there are any better deals than you are on currently.
