Hi.

Not at all I'm aware what point was being made.

My point was to further expand the practice of dodgy dealers who belong to gangs who sell on things like cellphones to fuel harder crime such as drugs, tobacco trade etc.

albiet slightly off topic so my apologies for that.

Take care.

Try to return the phone or dispute through the Paypal policy depending how long you have had the phone. I strongly urge people not to buy phones vis eBay.

The network uses the imei number to block the phone unless I'm missing something.

What network was it originally on and have you tried that particular networks sim.

Start to look at the small print left by the e bay seller to see how they listed it. .

If you are certain it is an O2 phone the call CS and ask them to check the IMEI for you....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Could be a phone thats locked to a different network (t mobile, vodafone, orange etc). eBay sellers commonly claim phones to be "factory unlocked" etc to boost the price.
